I heard someone ask one time, 'If you where put on trial for being a Christian, would you be found guilty?' I've been pondering that for awhile. I even stopped wearing a Cross necklace, that I love to wear, so that I could be found 'guilty' only on my actions!
How many people would testify that you treated them in a Christian manner?
Can they use Matthew 25:35-40
(Jesus speaking)35 For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home.36 I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.'
37 "Then these righteous ones will reply, 'Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink?38 Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing?39 When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you?'
40 "And the King will say, 'I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters,* you were doing it to me!'
So forget the 'bumper stickers', the cross necklaces, the cross danglie earrings, the 'WWJD' bracelets and go out into the world and try to do something everyday that would mark you as a Christian!
Because, one of these days, you will be judge by these standards at the Pearlie-gates...........
Matthew 10
32 "Everyone who acknowledges me publicly here on earth, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven.33 But everyone who denies me here on earth, I will also deny before my Father in heaven.
Matthew 25
23 "The master said, 'Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let's celebrate together!'
Do you know what you will hear? Do you know where your eternity is? Oh, there is an eternity.....one is Paradise and one is hell! It's never to late as long as there is breath in your body!
Will you be found guilty? I will!
